大象在印度、泰国称为“象神”,大象的鼻子可吸水象征可把外面的财吸进来,故摆放在公司门口或家里都有招财作用,其中背驮金蟾的大象谓之“向上发财”。

因为万象更新的“象”,谐音“祥”、和“相”,古人云:“太平有象”,寓意“吉祥如意”,居家者屋内奉置此吉祥物,可使家庭充满祥和之气;企业办公室供奉此物人和财旺,势如泰山;公务人员供奉大象可减轻压力,增持业绩,利于晋升,尤其是背上坐着猴子的大象,称为挂象封侯,旺事业及官运效果。
